Description: The Battle of Rivers' Bridge was a small encounter between Union and Confederate forces in February 1865. Until this project, there had been no survey of the battlefield since the Civil War. The State Park Service received a grant from the National Park Service to conduct a Global Positioning System (GPS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) survey of the battlefield. This report represents the results of the survey and its accompanying research.
