Effective 1994, the Government Restructuring Act of 1993 transferred all independent regulatory agencies, such as the State Board of Dentistry, into the newly formed Dept. of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation. The Board operates pursuant to Sections 40-15-10, et. seq., and 40-1-1, et. seq., Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended.
