This series contains photographs documenting Governor Mark Sanford's time in office. The bulk of the images depict him performing official duties or attending events. Subjects include, but are not limited to: proclamations, appointing officials, receiving groups or individuals at the State House, speeches/addresses, gubernatorial inaugurals, executive orders, presentation of awards, bill signings, attendance of off-site events, travels to visit troops in the Middle East, press conferences, budget proposals, and cabinet meetings. These images represent a sample of the images that were transferred to the Archives; any image considered duplicative or which contained non-official subject matter were not retained. The CD-ROMs containing the images were also not retained.
