This series consists of guides developed for tourists and travelers visiting South Carolina. Distributed at Welcome Centers and through the mail to those contacting the department for travel information, the guides contain information on accommodations, food, and points of interest. Specific travel guides for golfers and German tourists are included. Also in the series is a promotional film entitled "Discovering South Carolina", which highlights the state's cultural and tourist hotspots. Between 2000 and 2003 the general travel guide,"Smiling Faces, Beautiful Places" was distributed as two separate volumes titled "Smiles" and "Places."
