Biography or History:
The South Carolina Architecture Oversight Committee (AOC) was established in July 2003 within the Division of the State Chief Information Officer of the State Budget and Control Board to oversee theSouth Carolina Enterprise Architecture (SCEA). The purpose of the SCEA was to provide a framework for making strategic technology investment decisions on a cost-effective, enterprise basis in a way to meet the diverse business needs of agencies in state government. The AOC was comprised of 19 members representing 15 functional groups of state agencies, 3 at-large members, and the Deputy State Chief Information Officer and its purpose was to advise to the State Chief Information Officer on how the State might best use technology to become a recognized leader in delivering cost effective services to citizens, businesses and government organizations. The development of enterprise architecture policies and standards by the State Budget and Control Board was authorized under Section 11-35-1580 of the South Carolina Code of Laws.
