Scope and Content:
This series consists of digitized and born-digtial daily press briefings prepared for Governor Mark Sanford during several years of his administration. The Governor's press staff monitored local, state, and national news outlets for stories of interest and collate them for his review. The bulk of these briefings consist of e-mails which were saved as either Microsoft Word (.doc) or Protable Document Format (.pdf) files. These documents usually contain a list of links to news articles selected by press staff. The folder Press Briefings contains PDF files of the actual news articles, both web-based and digitized newspaper/magazine pieces.
