The Board was created by Act 1970 as the State Board of Nursing Home Administrators to issue licenses to qualified persons as nursing home administrators and establish qualification criteria for licensure of nursing home administrators. The Board remained an independent agency until the Government Restructuring Act of 1993, effective 1994, transferred all independent regulatory agencies under the newly formed Dept. of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation. The Board operates pursuant to Sections 40-35-5, et. seq., and 40-1-1, et. seq., Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended.

This series consists of the minutes of regular meetings of the Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators.
