Description:
Correspondence database for Governor Beasley's office. Original file in the Filemaker Pro format .fp3, username india, no password. To access file, format automigrated by Filemaker Pro 11 into the .fp7 format. Database consisted of a single table with multiple "layouts" showing selected field within the table and in some cases adding standard reply text. Unable to export a map detailing which layout consisted of which column. To preserve context/functionality, full table and each layout extracted with pdf of filemaker output for the specific layout. Exported to tab-delimited, XML, CSV and ODS. ODS preserved table format but in some cases truncated data, comma-delimited can be opened as a table using a spreadsheet program but did not preserve column headers, XML files (the preservation format) preserves column information and did not truncate data.
