She continued to disrespect the authority multiple times. This is a basic trait that should have been taught as part of her upbringing. I contacted Live 5 news and expressed my thoughts and was told that it was my opinion and they would be happy to take my number and some one would contact me. I declined because they said that it was a Columbia Issue and they were just airing it. My question is why are young students allowed to even have a cell phone, (using it) in the class room? This allows for cheating on test/exams and lets them think they have the freedom to do whatever they want to do in a class room environment. Cell phones should not be allowed visible in the class room. I ensured my children were not allowed to have any mobile device in the school at all. My wife and I are extremely involved in our Grandchildren's education and I can ensure you as well as their parents that they will not be allowed to have any mobile devices in the class room. When I raised my children I maintained control as the parent and taught them what was right and wrong. I think this is part of the problem in our class rooms throughout our state. I have a great deal of respect for what you have done for our state since you have been at the helm and believe that change needs to be brought about in our school system. I know what school kids are telling my young adult children and it's a growing problem with technology that these children have at their fingertips on how they cheat with mobile devices just to get through school without the true learning tools they need to be successful. I would respectfully request that you and your staff take action on a growing problem that can possibly get out of hand. The only comment I have on the Officers actions is that maybe an example needs to be made to ensure other kids get the message. But if you look close at what they showed on the news she was out of control and had no respect for his professional role or authority. Respectfully request that Governor Haley personally reads this. Very Respectfully, Jim Reyburn
