I'm the editor of the South Carolina United Methodist Advocate newspaper (an award-winning religious newspaper in existence since 1837), and I happen to attend the same church that I understand Gov. Haley attends, Mount Horeb UMC, Lexington. Our global church has asked me to write a profile on Gov. Halley on how her faith affects her priorities as governor. The finished article would be used locally here in South Carolina (in our Methodist newspaper and website, AdvocateSC.org, plus the annual conference/state office website, UMCSC.org), as well as in various ways through the global church (UMC.org).
