I don't understand why it was so hard for our previous Governor to understand the importance of this requirement, but I do believe if something is not done to become compliant soon, it is going to create more headache for South Carolina residents. Just as a for instance situation, after Jan 29 of this year, If a parent of a newly Graduated Military member wants to visit a base for graduation, it will now be near impossible for them to gain access to base because of the states non-compliance. Considering that some of these people may have no need for a passport, and the cost of it for some people. This creates a predicament and could result in them missing their loved ones special moment of Graduation from Basic Training, all because of laws put in place by our previous Governor to avoid the compliance required by the Federal Government. I just hope that this issue is taken seriously so that our wonderful states residents do not have to suffer, especially in 2018 when the TSA will no longer accept SC DLs for flight ( even Domestic).I thank you for your time and consideration of this matter. Respectfully, Matthew Shelton
