(Customers suffering from lack of services & resources funded by Public funds. MESSAGE: In case you have not already heard, there is severe trouble going on in Wateree Community Actions, Inc. (Wateree) It is taking a direct toll on the life and well-being of constituents that you serve; particularly the less fortunate ones. Wateree is out of money. The money has been mismanaged and lost. They closed down services to clients. Employees are on temporary furlough. The executive director was recently dismissed. A seven-month investigation by agents of US-HHS Office of Inspector General has recently been conducted. Their report of findings has been given to the SC State Office of Economic Opportunity - Office of the Governor. No public awareness has been made of the Wateree Community Actions, Inc. problem.
