Governor Haley,

Where is your sign language interpreter? Other state governors have interpreters for their Deaf citizens during emergencies. Closed captions aren't working. Your deaf citizens aren't getting all the information. Please get an interpreter for your press conferences. 

Behalf of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing citizens in South Carolina, we are very disappointed that you do not get an interpreter at the SC Emergency Management Division yesterday.  It is very important for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to understand what's going on in S.C.  

The South Carolina Association of the Deaf, Inc. (SCAD) is a statewide organization
working with and for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in South Carolina since 1911
and became incorporated in 1973. SCAD is the South Carolina affiliate of the National
Association of the Deaf (NAD) and focuses on promoting equal treatment toward deaf
and hard of hearing citizens in education, employment, legislation, healthcare, and other
fields pertaining to the citizens of South Carolina.
