COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Illegal immigrants wouldn't be able collect lottery winnings if a Charleston legislator's bill makes it onto the law books.

Rep. John Graham Altman filed a bill Wednesday that would add that ban on prize payments to language already in the law that keeps prisoners from claiming lottery winnings.

Altman, a Republican, previously has filed legislation would send illegal immigrants to prison for five years and allow seizure of their cash and cars.
