Hello Ms. Hayley,

I don't mean to trouble you and I know that your time is very precious and limited however I would greatly appreciate you going to my facebook page (Natalie Barrett Courtwright) and viewing this dance as it will bring tears to your eyes and well up emotion in your heart. I promise you it will not be a wasted 3 mins. This dance was dedicated to the victims of Emanuel AME church from Charleston, SC. that were senselessly murdered by Dylann Roof. Our dance teachers Brittany Vachon and Alicia Brooke Hardiman have something to teach our country about love and acceptance. I feel blessed that my daughter is not only getting to learn how to dance but she is also learning from Godly women who teach her life lessons such as this. What more could a mother want for her daughter. The girls in this dance are wearing black and white intertwined..... this was done purposely. Some feel that it represents unity of the two races after this horrific act. I guess to each person this tragedy means something different. For me it was a clear representation of the battle between Good and Evil. Evil thought that it could walk into The Lord's house and bring Him to his knees that day but instead His people did not lash out and behave like Evil does......the city of Charleston didn't riot or spew hate..... they gathered together and prayed for the families of the victims and for the shooter's family. The victims' family provided forgiveness to the shooter- Dylann Roof without him even asking for it. ....That is Rising UP as the song states!!! I am from York, South Carolina but my daughter's small but gifted studio is from Matthews North Carolina and we are headed to Charleston for Nationals this summer....Very Fitting or is it Fate. I felt that you would appreciate this Governor.
