I'm writing to ask you (Governor Nikki Haley or someone in the Governors office) contact the appropriate DOD (U.S. Navy) personnel in assisting my son SA Dallas Preston Beauregard. He enlisted in the US NAVY with a contract to go to Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Command at Joint Base Charleston, SC. He met his requirements, but was disenrolled because they claim to have to many new students and his grades were lower than some. (He still had passing grades which met his contract.) They just felt since his were lower than some and they had a large group of new people they decided to disenrolled him. He was 6+ months into training and 1 month away from being completed. Upon completion he was to be advanced to E-4. Today after lining up his group, they required him to sign a paper (24Feb2015) that said they were demoting him from E-3 to E-1. This is totally wrong! He met his end of the agreement and the Navy is screwing him over! Please inquire into his situation. Thank you, US Navy Veteran Richard R.
