Its an area which has been hit hard by lay-offs. Union County has one of the highest unemployment rates in South Carolina but help is on the way.

Tomorrow it will be officially announced by South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford Dollar General Distribution Center is coming to Union. The site at the site where Dollar General will build its distribution center will be off Hwy 176 near Jonesville, not far from disney's facility.

Plans call for the retailer to spend 65-milllion dollars to build the facility.By the time it's built, it could employ up to 500 workers.

It's the biggest economic development announcement for the county in six years. Since Disney announced their plans to build in Union.

The announcement will be at 9:30 am tomorrow at Union County Country Club.
