I have been a resident of this state for over a year. I have worked and paid taxes. When i tried to transfer my license I was told I must have a birth certificate. My birth certificate is tied up in the state of New York due to botched adoption many years ago. I have spent many hours and dollars without any outcome. I have never had to have birth certificate to get DL in any other state I lived in. I have only been denied a passport so it has not been a big deal
I have SS card, marriage license,name change from judge, income taxes  but DMV will not issue me a license. Since my Navada license is expired I cannot get any job, unemployment benefits, food stamps or any help with this issue. I have a full time job with ZF Transmissions if i can give msc DL by end of 90 days. I am on day 40.
Please PLEASE PLEASE help me. Judge told me all I needed was this name change paper to get license but DMV would not except it. I am going to be homeless within this month if i cannot get my DL. PPPPPPPPlllllllEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSeeeee help me.
