Six branch offices of the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles will continue to be open on Saturdays.

The Saturday service hours, which were scheduled to end in August, have been extended, thanks to positive customer response.

"It's a service our customers seem to appreciate," said Marcia Adams, acting DMV executive director."

Some changes have been made to the Saturday services DMV offers. The offices will now be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. instead of a full day. The Lexington DMV office will also take over the Saturday functions of the Irmo-Ballentine office, which will now be closed Saturdays.

The six DMV offices that will be open on Saturdays are:

• 122 Park Road, Lexington

• 3102 E. Palmetto Street, Florence

• 1755 Richland Avenue East, Aiken

• 305 Hands Mill Road, Rock Hill

• 3790 Leeds Avenue, N. Charleston

• 15 Saluda Dam Road, Greenville
