Governor Mark Sanford says South Carolina should
sell more
than 61-hundred state vehicles.
Sanford says South Carolina can make 34 million dollars
by
selling the cars and save eight million a year in other
costs
by having a smaller fleet. The state currently owns
about
15-thousand vehicles.
The governor talked about his idea while visiting the
state
vehicle maintenance facility in Cayce this morning.
Sanford says selling the cars is just part of his
budget
proposal he will introduce to lawmakers later this
month.
