I am a resident of Dorchester County and on 11/05/2015 I went, with my neighbors, to apply for disaster relief - my application # is 77539.  I sat at one table and a lady asked me questions and filled out a form that said I may be eligible for was $771.00.  I was told to walk to the end of the church and give the papers to another lady.  That lady gave me an EBT card and had me write my birthday and sign a paper saying I received the card.  I started calling the # on the back of the EBT card on the 6th and the automated system said that the card was invalid.  I called everyday and the same thing.  I used my SS# on the 7th and there was $771 on my account but the Card # was still invalid.  I called the disaster relief # and they said they would send the info to Columbia.  I called every day up until the 23rd of November and they said they would send it to Columbia.  I used my SS# on the 23rd to check my balance and it was $0, someone started using my funds on November 15th.  I believe the woman who gave me the card gave me a fraudulent card and used the funds herself or gave the valid card to a friend.  In the meantime, I never received my disaster relief funds.  I called every possible phone number for help and have been calling for over a month, several times a day and no one can help me.  Everyone tells me it is not their department.
