South Carolinians Continue To Play Lottery
(Columbia-AP) -- Despite a struggling economy and the nation's fourth-highest unemployment rate, South Carolinians continue to play the lottery. The lottery has proved to be the state's brightest revenue spot.

Since the games began in 2002, the lottery has generated more than 500 million dollars for scholarships and other education spending.
