COLUMBIA, S.C. -- South Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles offices will serve no customers one day next week so that employees can improve their customer service skills.
The state Department of Public Safety said that DMV offices statewide will close on Wednesday, May 28 so that all employees can attend training in Columbia.
The training is part of five-point plan introduced last week by Gov. Mark Sanford to improve customer service and efficiency at the DMV.
In addition, DMV offices statewide will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day.
