Thank you for extending an invitation to Governor Haley to attend Decision Day 2016 at Orangeburg Consolidated School District 4 at Edisto High School in Cordova on April 26, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Governor Haley appreciates your kind consideration, but regrettably the Governor’s schedule will not permit for her to attend. The Legislature will be in session on that date and the Governor will need to remain in the office. Good afternoon Governor Haley,

My name is Allison Clark and I work for Orangeburg Consolidated School District 4 at Edisto High School in Cordova, South Carolina. We are located in Orangeburg county. My title at the high school is the South Carolina GEAR UP Graduation Coach. This position is funded by a federal grant to provide services for low income students to get them ready for post -secondary education. This year we are excited to bring Decision Day 2016 to our school for the very first time. This event is being held in order to celebrate our seniors and their decision to attend college. Also during this event we will be providing our juniors with the information of how important it is to stay in school and graduate then move on to a post-secondary institution of their choice. I would like to invite you to be our Honored guest speaker for this occasion. Our students very rarely get to be a part of something that is history making to include someone who is from their local community. I feel that your visit would allow the students to see that not only does education pay but also that someone of your statue came from a small local town and now has the capability and experience to run a state. The event is planned for April 26,2016 at 10:00 am to 1:20 pm. We would love to have you and I hope that your time will permit you to visit.
