For 11 years I have been registered for life (for a crime I committed when I wasn't even 14) and have always been totally compliant. When officers came to check on me, while it made my wife angry, it was almost tolerable. But today (apparently at the Governor's order) a peaceful day off was interrupted by VIOLENT banging on my door. My wife nearly screamed. My one and a half year old son started crying. Thank you for keeping families safe by intimidating those listed on a system that is proven to not affect recidivism. Thank you for convincing us that we live in a draconian state that will not allow those who have paid their dues and given back to society to live in peace. 

Please consider only banging on those doors that don't always open for you. Please do not frighten my family again. I have checked in on time for every single reregistration. I have reported every life change for no empirically useful reason. Please respect me when I respect your laws.

If your office did not issue this order, I suggest you contact the Berkeley County Sheriff and inquire as to why a deputy and a US Marshall are walking around scaring people for no reason.
