The University of South Carolina's policy on residency for tuition purposes states one must have domicile in SC 12 months prior to the semester they are requesting residency. I have paid Sc state taxes, bought a car, and have two jobs just to pay for school. They denied me residency because I paid for housing at USC. Meanwhile, they make you pay for housing your freshman year. This seems corrupt and my roommate was granted in state tuition after moving from Wisconsin with his family two weeks prior to school. This seems very bias to me. I cannot afford to finish my education here in South Carolina unless I receive in state tuition. I was hoping you would be able to help me or suggest helping me in any way. I have a lot more information to include and not enough space I would greatly appreciate it if you could contact me. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for your time, Steven Litaker
