My name is Merissa Baxter and I am a 4th year graduate student at the University of South Carolina.  I am pursuing my PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, and I'm interested in science policy.  I'm writing to find out if there is someone that I can contact about volunteer opportunities within local government.  While my long term interest is in the area of science/science education policy, I would be grateful for the opportunity to observe and gain exposure public policy, regardless of discipline.
