Please join and stand united with Michigan, Alabama, Texas, and Arkansas in preventing the importation and resettlement of Syrian refugees to our state. If enough governors take a stand a clear message will be sent to those in the Federal government. While compassion is something that South Carolinians embrace, there is simply no possible way to accurately perform background checks. At this time I think all governors who oppose this should stand united for their state's citizens by taking a public stance. The importation clearly goes against the public's wishes and right to safety and is being blatantly ignored by the Federal government.
