No Sales Tax For Shoppers
Sunday, Nov 19, 2006 - 11:12 PM
If you're hitting the stores
on the two busiest shopping days of the year, you may have enough money left to
buy a little something for yourself. The state is offering an extra
discount.
South Carolina's first post-thanksgiving
sales tax holiday will start at 12:01 a.m. Friday and end at midnight Saturday.
Residents and businesses will pay no state sales tax on items from groceries to
gifts and even cars bought over those 48 hours. Legislators approved the two tax
free days earlier this year.
