Dear Governor Haley:

As a 52 year old Greer Mom, I urge you to say "NO" to S 31, SC's version of the "Religious Freedom" Law that is wreaking havoc for the state of Indiana. I truly do NOT want to see you struggling to defend the indefensible as Indiana Governor Mike Pence attempted to do in his now infamous, cringe-worth interview with George Stephanopoulos. 

To move forward, SC needs to show the world that we are a PROGRESSIVE STATE, concerned with growing businesses and moving beyond this divisive issue. Additionally, please consider the young voters in SC like my two adult children. My son is a senior at The Citadel and my daughter is a junior at College of Charleston. They are both outraged at this trend to veil outright discrimination under the cover of "religious freedom." 

In the words of Apple CEO Tim Cook: "This isn't a political issue. It isn't a religious issue. This is about how we treat each other as human beings. Opposing discrimination takes courage. With the lives and dignity of so many people at stake, it's time for all of us to be courageous."
