I am a resident of Marlboro County which was not listed in the disaster counties.  I lost electricity on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 8:30 am and today is Wednesday, October 12, 2016 and I still do not have electricity in my home.  Please know that I am aware that there are people out there with much more serious situations than mine and my heart and prayers go out to them but my situation is very serious to me.  I have no food because with no electricity I had to trash everything in my refrigerator, after 4 days I was able to borrow a generator but now I have the added expense of purchasing gasoline to power it as well as food to eat each day.  I just feel lost and I'm not alone in this, I have a sick husband.  I have a child who just got electricity today as well as a child who still doesn't have electricity.  I have a co-worker that has a family of 5 and her entire street that is in my same predicament and we're just trying to figure out if there is any help available.  We have even asked DSS if there were any disaster food services available and they informed us that without our area being declared a disaster that there was no help.
