"Chat with the Governor" offers YOU -- students, parents, teachers, avid readers in general -- the opportunity to discuss your thoughts about the joy of reading with Governor Hodges and others who love to read!  Once a month, Governor Hodges will post a message offering a discussion topic and his thoughts and comments.  You are encouraged to write back to the Governor to respond or simply to offer your own thoughts about your favorite book or why you love to read.  Several responses will be posted will help to generate more discussion about the wonderful world of reading!

I am glad you have visited my Focus on Reading web page.  It is my vision that this chat feature will provide a wonderful forum for positive discussion about reading and a healthy exchange of book recommendations and literacy tips.  

Each month, I plan to post a message offering my thoughts about reading and books.  This month, in order to launch this new feature, I want to hear your thoughts about how I can make this web page and discussion board successful.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.  Best wish and keep reading!
