Your speech at the debate on 1/14/2016 was very disappointing. I had never heard you being so "politically correct" before then. I truly thought that you were a cut above the fray. I guess it's true that a little "power" is a heady thing. Snide remarks should be beneath you as our Governor. Now you are raising the gas tax, but will lower the income tax. Those two DO NOT offset one another. As a senior citizen; my gas tax will be much more but I have no taxable income. My already stretched "income" (which I paid for over during my 50+ years of work and paying taxes) will be further decreased due the gas tax. This means less volunteering, less Church going, less anything except staying at home. But that's okay - you don't need us senior citizens on the road anyway. As I said, I am very disappointed and yes, angry, with you. You are not the person I voted for and honestly, I would not vote for you again for any office you may attain to in the future. Sincerely, Carole S. Nuckolls
