No more than three "Sorting-Hat" winners may be sent from each school – one winner from each grade to include 6th, 7th, and 8th.

School winners must be submitted by filling out the enclosed form in its entirety. Incomplete forms will not be eligible for the statewide drawing.

Submissions must be received at the office of the Governor’s Focus on Reading no later than November 15, 2001, and should be mailed to the following address:

forms should be mailed to the Middle School Reading Challenge.
Schools are responsible
for keeping a copy of each winning student’s response. If
a student from your school is selected, you will be contacted
and will be required to mail a copy of the student’s response
to the Middle School Reading Challenge. (In other words, in
order to enter a student into the statewide "Sorting
Hat" selection process, you should not submit the student’s
response, only the completed submission form.)
- The three statewide "Sorting
Hat" winners will be notified by phone.
