Reading Honor Roll
  1. No more than three "Sorting-Hat" winners may be sent from each school – one winner from each grade to include 6th, 7th, and 8th.
  2. School winners must be submitted by filling out the enclosed form in its entirety. Incomplete forms will not be eligible for the statewide drawing.
  3. Submissions must be received at the office of the Governor’s Focus on Reading no later than November 15, 2001, and should be mailed to the following address:

Middle School Reading Challenge, "Sorting-Hat" Selection
    Governor’s Focus on Reading
    800 Richland Street
    Columbia, South Carolina 29201

  1. Only the completed submission forms should be mailed to the Middle School Reading Challenge.
Schools are responsible for keeping a copy of each winning student’s response. If a student from your school is selected, you will be contacted and will be required to mail a copy of the student’s response to the Middle School Reading Challenge. (In other words, in order to enter a student into the statewide "Sorting Hat" selection process, you should not submit the student’s response, only the completed submission form.)
  2. The three statewide "Sorting Hat" winners will be notified by phone.
No later than November 20, 2001.
