Haley, After waking this morning to the news of the state's decision to remove the Confederate flag, I read in an article that it had been discussed, perhaps hypothesized, that the area where the flag stands w/could be replaced with flowers. I believe there is a far more obvious choice, a commissioned piece of ironwork or statue replica of the SC palmetto with the nine doves. I find it most appropriate that the event that prompted the discussion for the flag's removal would serve of a reminder that we, as a state, are moving forward, as well as commemorate the Charleston nine from Mother Emanuel.
