I saw you state of the Union speech and it was terrific.  I am writing to say thank you for your service and sincere concern for South Carolina students, who have been incredibly neglected in grades K thru 12.  Two years ago I was at target shopping just before school started.  I ran into a first grade teacher from Marion who was shopping out of her pocket for her class.  I and my friend said, purchase everything you need because we are paying for it!   $120 later she had a huge basket of supplies.  It was so gratifying!  We have to step up early. An example of what happens when we don't  is withering: Conway has a 48 percent drop out rate.  This has horrendous social implications.  You have stood up for our children and don't let down.  Our technical schools are critical and serve so many young people who do not need a 4-year education to establish themselves, especially in small businesses. Also, thank you for wanting to establish a financial recourse for our roads.  If we need to borrow, then let's do it.  We can't become another flint Michigan.  Don't let up on our legislature which keeps kicking the can down the road.  Am so proud of you!
