There are companies that either will not pay for this time off or forcing people to use their vacation time to compensate for missing wages. In cases like this all jobs should be required to have Disaster Pay. When Mother nature hits, it is not the fault of the employee that they are unable to make it!!! You know it's hard to try to work overtime withim the same pay period to make up the time. Especially when you have a while family and kids out of school or not om school yet. Something really needs to be done about this .
