Governor Haley,
It is essential that you and other elected
officials do everything in
your power to protect wildlife habitat and
clean water.
Recent decisions in Congress and other decisions in
the states have
resulted in making our waters more toxic. From attacks
in Congress on
the wildlife-friendly Clean Water Rule, to recent
decisions by state
leaders allowing the release of toxic wastewater
into rivers, to
agencies failing to protect watersheds from
contaminated run-off
America's waters have never been at greater
risk!
Please! This request is urgent! You have the tools you need
in the
Clean Water Act, Clean Water Rule and other wildlife-friendly
policies
for protecting habitat and clean water.
I am calling on
you to stand strong on behalf of wildlife and clean
water-- and not
give way to interests with ties to the agricultural and
fossil fuel
industries that want basic clean water protections halted
or pushed
aside.
