You say it wouldn't be fair to choose one business over another. One aspect of the situation that is being overlooked is the 600 employees and their families. Their layoff will be a big hit to their lives and the economy of the low country. I was a victim of a layoff in 2012 that affected 130 people and their families. The cause was the price of our raw materials and not being able to continue to do business. It shouldn't be all about business and the bottom line. It's about doing the right thing. Santee Cooper says that it will be a wash if Century aluminum closes down, then they say it would cause the cost for other businesses to be higher. It sounds to me like they are talking out of both sides of their mouth. I'm asking you and your staff to please go back to the table with the two entities and see if there isn't something that can be done to help the people that are employed at Century Aluminum and our community. Thanks, Teresa Johnson
