It no longer belongs there. To many, if not most Americans, it is a symbol of racism. If state citizens want to admire the flag, for whatever reason, there are many places they can display it to show their pride in their heritage, or their contempt for fellow Americans. I suspect your opponents to this request for sensitivity on your part will be met with hatred, threats, insults, and violence. Your stand is the right thing to do. Good for you. Bill Horton
