Dear Governor, 

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment that a legislator from South Carolina has chosen to follow the misguided path of our northern neighbor and introduce legislation that, as you so aptly stated, "is not needed." I spoke with Senator Martin Wednesday night and expressed the same idea. This legislation is not about bathrooms, but a backdoor attempt to discriminate. 

I am a gay Christian. I find in the Bible or Christianity no such spirit as is expressed in this hateful legislation, and quite frankly it is not Christian at all, but a group who have hi-jacked the Gospel for darker means. How many times have we as Christians taken a position which has left us later looking like idiots. This will prove no different. 

You and others have take great strides to bring SC into the modern age, and our economy is booming. Can we really afford to lose all we have gained over such a silly position? 

Sadly, when NC signed the law I began the process of divesting myself of my property there. I have lived in SC and my hope was that we were better than this, but if we insist on penalizing good people with such laws, I will do the same move away from my home of 58 years.
