Dear Governor Henry McMaster

	We are contacting you to solicit your support for the bill proposing the legalization of medical marijuana in South Carolina in limited medical situations.

	My wife, a lovely 76-year old, suffers from chronic pain which so far none of her doctors have been able to provide a treatment to relieve this constant pain. The opiates her doctors prescribed did not relieve the pain, and actually had the opposite effect on her overall health, so she stopped them. Over-the-counter medications also have not worked. Not a day goes by where she is not in pain.

	We ask that you seriously consider voting in favor of the bill to legalize medical marijuana which is working its way through the SC Senate and House; the Aiken Standard carried an article on this.

	Thank you for your service to the community and we hope to see a positive outcome to this bill.
