(Mullins-AP) -- Governor Mark Sanford
returned to public life in South Carolina by discussing the way to
advance freedom.
Sanford spoke at a Marion County NAACP
branch ceremony Saturday night.
The Republican governor had
spent two weeks training with the U-S Air Force Reserve in Alabama.
Sanford told the 500 or so in attendance that freedom was
not free. He says even those far from the fight in Iraq must work
to achieve and maintain it.
Sanford says by continually
upgrading education, people can achieve freedom on a local level. He
says freedom basically means economic opportunity for
all. |
