The recommendations by the Commission were relevant, but all that I read were reactive rather than proactive. Perhaps it is political correctness that causes us to avoid current causes of the problem such as lack of education(which can lead to lack of a job and financial problems which can cause spouse abuse) , family values handed from generation to generation, even misinterpretation of the Bible which in some places presents a woman as subservient to man. Wrap these up with a "good ole boy redneck attitude" and you have a problem. Again I applaud what has been done thus far, but there are some real hardcore issues at the root of the problem that need to be addressed. Thank you for a great job.---Tom Allen
