A few days ago,  I contacted you about a case in NY of a young lady being held in a hospital against her will, that hospital ignoring her medical history and treating her in a way that posses immediate danger to her health.  I asked for any assistance you could give by reaching out to your cohorts in N,Y and also to ask for SC to lead the way with a Patients' Bill of Rights.  

I am disappointed that I have had no response from you or your office. However, I remain hopeful for your assistance (which is far more important).

Here is some additional information, including a request from the patient's mother, Samime:  

Samime Baldini to Madelyn Pickin Lawrence, if possible can you ask your contacts to talk to Representative Scott Garrett (NJ 5th District). We've been talking to his office up here. Maybe they can work together on it. THANK YOU!!!!

At this point the Hospital's refusal to treat Derya has caused us to, regrettably, reach out to the media. Attached is the press release and associated documents. Please feel free to share with anyone you know who might be willing to follow the story.
The goal is to get Derya out of Bellevue and to a treating hospital such as UPENN or the MAYO Clinic.
