Columbia SC 29212 donburnettsr@gmail.com 8037322053 TRAN Our deteriorating roads 99.69.242.20 I am much concerned over the disrepair of our roads. Individually, we who drive are paying a "tax" for bad roads in terms of tires, alignment and auto repairs. Additionally, I, and I see others, weaving to dodge pot holes and perhaps creating safety concerns. Corporately as a state, our reputation is suffering which in turn will affect tourism and business in general. Our secondary roads are bad, but the interstates are at times even worse. I am aware of outside influences that affect legislation, and that should not be. My feeling is that if it takes a gas tax of 10 or 12 cents to do the job, so be it. But let all that money go to repairing our crumbling system. Governor, I would be honored if you or a staff member could reply. By the way, I am a life-long Republican and I support and appreciate your service. Thank you. Don Burnett
