It has no racial meaning for me, it is part of the history of the great state of South Carolina, what happened a long time ago. I have lived in S.C. all my life, and love it and it's people. I appreciate all the governor has done for our state. History belongs in a museum, not on the Capital grounds. I don't agree with people trying to blackmail our state by withholding their events from here, nor do I believe it causes people to commit horrible acts of hatred and violent crimes against others. Hate causes people to do evil things, and it expresses itself in many ways. Because of the tragic events in Charleston by an evil coward who attacked innocent, loving, kind, people, we are again in the middle of these debates. If I have a vote I agree with Gov. Nikki Haley and support the effort to have the flag moved....
