You ordered a mandatory evacuation which my husband and I took seriously. We packed up our 2 cats and headed out on Tuesday at 6pm. We encountered ridiculous traffic snarls because no one in your office thought to tell the highway crews to stand down and NOT TO CLOSE LANES on I-26 for night work around Columbia and Spartanburg. We crawled in traffic for over an hour in each of these cities. It's hard enough to evacuate your home quickly and this lack of coordinated planning made it a lot worse. Shame on you! Nancy Short
