We did not know about the annual motor cycle event hosted in Myrtle Beach. We were keenly aware of an "atmospheric" shift in the city, a sort of lingering tension, fear and intimidation that spread throughout. We would never come back to such a thing. I understand now that the level of violence has reached the level of murders last year. With there being so much induced racial tension in the nation, I'm asking that you cancel the event in order to keep the public and law enforcement officers and firefighters safe. We have already seen too much violence in our nation, and we are asking for public officials to do what is necessary to provide our cities and communities with peace and safety. Sincerely, Michael Proctor
