Thousands Attend Governor's
Carolighting |
(Columbia)-- It's official. The tree is lit
and it's the official yuletide season for South
Carolina.
Thousands of South Carolinians attended the annual
Governor's Carolighting ceremony held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday on the
State House steps.
The program featured the Governor's
All-Star High School Chorus and Band, USC Trumpet Choir, the
Palmetto Mastersingers, Carolighting Children's Choir, Handbell
Choir, and the Governor's seasonal message.
Crews spent a
week decorating the tree.
The Governor says the ceremony is
"just a neat evening that kicks-off christmas and the christmas
spirit that comes with it." |
